November 2020 Update

Conscious Commerce • November 25, 2020

Happy November! It’s hard to believe how quickly this month has flown by but here we are with December just around the corner.

November was a big month for our team as we created campaigns in preparation for the busy holiday season.

Here’s a quick update on everything that’s going on at CCC right now:

Jennifer Taylor becomes our full-time Project Manager

FINALLY! Jennifer Taylor came to Calgary for some much needed quality time and to do some operational effectiveness and team building activities!

Jennifer started with CCC back in 2012, and we’ve had an amazing run. I can’t wait to see what she does in 2021 as she transitions into our full-time Project Manager.

November’s company value is WHATSO

Are you finding it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to communicate with everything going on? You’re not alone.

I urge you—both in business and personal relationships—to take more time, slow down, and pay closer attention to what’s occurring.

Become the observer and increase your awareness to make better business decisions. The world around us may be chaotic, but your internal world can be calm. Become the unmoved mover.

Featured PAL of the Month: Jordan Gardner

This month we are featuring Jordan Gardiner, Marketing Agency Partner with CCC. Jordan may be the newest addition to the team, but he’s already taken charge and become an invaluable resource at CCC.

Why did you choose a career in digital marketing?

I have always been interested in computers and computer science since a young age. But after my grade 12 marketing class, I fell in love with digital marketing.

From there, I went to college and earned a degree in digital marketing. Not long after, I dove deep into the world of Google Ads and SEO.

What aspect of your role do you most appreciate?

The simple answer? I love helping clients execute on their big ideas.

I’m all about sharing expert insights and knowledge with my clients to help them grow their business. Because when they win, we all win.

I really love learning about everything digital marketing. You could say I live and breathe this stuff.

What digital marketing channel do you like the most, and why?

Paid advertising, pay-per-click, search engine marketing, and anything tied to the Google Ad platform.

That platform has come a long way since 2009, when I first started out. The basis of my knowledge and interest stems from my work with Google Ads and SEO.

I also believe it’s an incredibly powerful tool that really gives marketers pinpoint precision in their marketing campaigns.

What are the top three tools you use everyday?

This may seem predictable, but Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Monday for project management.

Where do you see paid ads going in the next 3-5 years?

This really is a loaded question. You can’t deny the usefulness of automation. It’s in everything today, from marketing to the email clients we use.

Security will become a big focus as digital becomes the norm. You will see a bigger emphasis on stronger security integration, complete with permissions and other forms of control.

I don’t see personalization going anywhere, either. Expect to see personalization in all aspects of marketing, from devices themselves, gaming consoles, and a big push for video content.

Augmented reality is another cool technology that still has so much potential. Soon, companies will use it to enhance the in-store experience, push offers, and other forms of personalized content.

What authorities do you lean on to expand your knowledge base?

My go-tos include The Keyword by Google, Ads and Commerce by Google, and Search Engine Land for SEO.

Is there anything else you’d like to say?

Honestly? I’m deeply committed to digital marketing, it’s my long-term focus. I’m also passionate about providing accurate advice and sharing knowledge openly, generously, and transparently.
