Why Sustainability In Business Is More Important Than You Think

When I say sustainability, the first thing you likely think about is being eco-friendly. That’s not a bad thing either. But what does it mean to pursue sustainable business strategies? The types of strategies that help you become more profitable, scale as you grow, and meet new challenges.

I’ve seen it too many times.

A client will create a new logo, build a website, and expect instant sales. In reality? The opposite happens. They see virtually no sales because they haven’t taken the time to plan for the long-term.

Online marketing is a long-term strategy that involves many specialized tools, a comprehensive strategy, and a lot of dedication.

Results don’t happen overnight. They can take many months, even years.

What about social media?

Social media isn’t the be-all-end-all of marketing. It’s a useful tool for engagement, but a few posts on social media won’t drive sales. In my personal experience—Google My Business and your website are the two biggest sources of traffic and conversions.

So, the question remains. How do you go about building a sustainable business?

You Need to Build the Right Systems

A sustainable business is all about consistency. You must create a consistent experience that your customers can rely on.

You also need to identify which metrics are relevant to you, and find ways to improve them. Whether this is improving your sales velocity, reducing your costs to acquire leads, or something else—the metrics you track will help you determine what’s working.

But tracking the right metrics and streamlining all of your processes together into a seamless, sustainable experience is no easy task. You may use individual apps for booking , taking payments, managing client profiles, and marketing. Integrating all of these processes can waste a lot of time and resources that could be better spent elsewhere.

That’s why we’re highlighting vCita this month. We love this platform because it simplifies all of those processes into one convenient location.

  • Simplified Booking . Let your clients book meetings with you on their own through your website. There’s no need for the back and forth.
  • Take Payments. Send invoices and let your clients pay you through a frictionless online platform.
  • Interactive Client Portal. Engage and collaborate with your clients through an interactive portal that lets them book meetings, pay invoices, sign documents, and share files.
  • Effective Marketing. Drive higher ROIs using a sophisticated marketing platform that lets you build campaigns, capture leads, and create landing pages.
  • Fully-Integratable . vCita integrates with popular apps like Square, Facebook, PayPal, WordPress, Constant Contact, Quickbooks, and more.

All of these features help you accelerate the sales process by improving communication, giving your customers more choices, and reducing the amount of input needed from you for simple tasks.

A sustainable business is built for the long-term and focuses on generating consistent ROIs. We feel vCita is a useful tool that many small and medium businesses can take advantage of to improve their internal processes.
